A Day At St. Francis
A regular day at St. Francis College starts at 7:45am sharp for PYP 1 to 4. For PYP 5 to 8 the day starts at 8:00am sharp. Children in PYP 1 to 4 should arrive between 7:30 and 7:45am and PYP 5 to 8 should arrive between 7:45 and 8:00am in order to prepare for the beginning of their day. PYP 1 children have lunch in the school canteen, and also have time for a short nap. PYP 2 to PYP 8 children have at least a one hour lunch break during which they eat a catered lunch in the school canteen and play outside.
The school day ends at 2:45pm for children in PYP 1 and 2, at 3:00pm for PYP 3, at 3:15pm for PYP 4 and at 3:30pm for PYP 5 to 8. They must be collected by their parents or authorised driver/nanny/friend, etc. from their class teacher, who will be in the pick-up areas.
Most weeks EYP meet for assemblies. On Thursdays it's Primary assemblies and on Friday's it's PYP 2 to 4 assemblies. Assemblies are moments of celebration, announcements and of sharing what children have learnt. Parents from PYP 2 to 8 are invited to attend their child's assembly.
